Red Manor House Block of the Month (BoM) project
Join The Quilters' Guild with our first block of the month project with this stunning new interpretation design by Jenni Smith inspired by our wonderful Red Manor House Coverlet part of The Quilters' Guild Museum Collection.
The project is to make an 80" square quilt and will be delivered digitally by email in 12 monthly instalments.
The pattern uses a range of techniques including precision piecing, foundation paper piecing and applique. Each month's instructions will be supported by how to video guides and tutorials form some fantastic presenters, including Jenni Smith, Katy Jones, Jo Avery, Nick Ball and Jennie Rayment. This is a great project to join in with whatever your quilting ability. We'll also be encouraging makers to adapt the motifs and make the personal in some way for those who would like to.
The first instructions will be delivered on October 1st 2019, please join by September 29th to guarantee delivery. Later signups will be sent any missed months. When purchasing please use an email address you have access to as this will be the email to which the pattern will be delivered. The BoM has a one-off fee of £30 and is non-refundable or transferable.
Please ensure you have a pdf reader installed on your computer. You will also need to have access to a printer for the foundation paper piecing aspects of the pattern.
For fabrics you may wish to buy one of our limited-edition Riley Blake fabric packs, or you can use your stash or shop to your own tastes. See the image below for the quantities used in the instructions.
