Peasholme Green quilt pattern

Inspired by the Broderie Perse Coverlet held in The Quilt Collection. With a design dating from 1825–1850, this quilt pattern has been made by Judy Newman and Margaret Mew.

The original coverlet features hand-pieced patchwork made from printed dress and furnishing cottons, with nine striking frames of octagons, triangles, and squares on point. At its heart lies a delicate Broderie Perse panel, decorated with floral and bird motifs and edged with blanket stitch.
