Quilters' Guild Virtual Conference 2021 - Live Lecture with Annette Morgan - 'The Sutton Hoo Textile Project' at 11.30 am on 18/04/2021
This is a Quilters' Guild member only event.
How to work to commission and working with volunteers
Sutton Hoo is the National Trust’s atmospheric location in Suffolk which featured in the recent film 'The Dig' starring Ralph Fiennes and Carey Mulligan. Annette was asked in 2017/2018 to design a textile hanging to hang in the Treasury of the main building on the site. The National Trust had been awarded an Heritage Lottery Fund award and wanted to include work by volunteers on the site. Annette will highlight the journey of this 13 metre textile hanging.
Please note: Talks will be between 1 and 1.5 hours in duration. Recordings of all talks will be included in the £5.00 Conference Registration Fee. However, numbers for the live talks are limited so you must register for each individual talk you wish to attend live. If you register for a live talk, there will be an additional charge of £2.00 per talk. A link to join this session live will be sent to you nearer to the date of the conference in April.
A recording of the talks will be made available for all those who register for the Conference after the event, so if you cannot attend live you could catch up for up to a month afterwards.
