Forty: The Evolution of a Collection celebrates 40 years of The Quilters' Guild Museum Collection, considering its growth from the very first donation in 1979 to our most recent acquisitions. The book highlights the rich and varied history of the crafts of patchwork, appliqué and quilting by showcasing a range of fascinating quilts that have been added to The Collection over the past four decades. It explores the quilts' makers, construction techniques and what makes each item significant. The book also looks at what was happening in The Guild, charting developments and events as the decades progressed.
